EL PASO, Texas – Warm weather means more outdoor activity, which can also lead to an increase in traumatic brain injuries.
Dr. Kristopher Hooten with UMC Healthcare Partners' Nexus Neurosciences says the best thing you can do is take precautions to avoid injury in the first place.
"That means thinking before you get on your bicycle to put your helmet on, it means using a seatbelt in the car, and using all these safety measures to try and prevent an injury," Hooten said.
